WTS has an aggressive recycling, resale/reuse program which allows our clients to meet or exceed their cost savings initiatives, reduce hazardous waste generation while reducing future RCRA liabilities.

WTS' strives to help our clients conserve resources and reduce waste by encouraging the efficient use of materials, developing and promoting source reduction and reuse strategies. We will achieve this through research and collaboration with our clients and suppliers and by providing technical information, education, training and advocacy services to our clients.

Why is reuse so important? Because at the same time that it confronts the challenges of waste reduction, reuse supports a productive economy. With few exceptions reuse accomplishes the following goals:

  • Advancement of source reduction.
  • Preservation of the "embodied energy" that was originally used to manufacture an item.
  • Reduction to the strain on valuable resources, such as fuel, forests and water supplies, and the safeguarding of wildlife habitats.
  • Less air and water pollution than what would be generated while producing new items or recycling
  • Reduction in hazardous waste generation
  • Decreased purchases of raw materials and reduced disposal expenditures.
  • Creation of an affordable supply of goods of excellent quality.
