WTS offers comprehensive lab pack services for various industries and clients, including research and development laboratories, universities, hospitals and warehouses. Our chemists are highly trained in all aspects of compliance issues and combined have over 50 years of experience in the environmental industry. Often Lab packs consist of small containers of contaminated, partially used or outdated products or materials. If these chemicals are not identified, handled or packaged properly, the results can be catastrophic. Many of these containers are often damaged, leaking or not properly labeled.

The WTS lab packing process begins with careful inspection, categorization and segregation of the waste inventory. Our trained chemists use procedures to ensure that all unknown wastes are properly identified and are categorized according to federal and state regulations. Chemical containers and their contents are then carefully evaluated and all unsuitable containers (i.e.: leaking containers) are repackaged to ensure safety and compliance. Each chemical is then segregated into compatible groups or hazardous classes, inventoried, and transferred into over-pack containers.

Our chemists and technical service team prepare all documentation necessary for transporting and proper disposal of these materials. Our computerized data management system aids in the accuracy of preparing profiles, packing lists, LDRs and manifests that are in accordance with all applicable regulations.

We then complete the process by obtaining approvals from audited disposal facilities and schedule the pick-up.
