Services

We focus on assessing our clients' risk of potential environmental liabilities in many ways. WTS can strategically target where our clients are having problems understanding how to comply with regulatory requirements while providing educational tools and other assistance such as technical papers and on-site visits to help increase understanding of regulatory obligations. In order to minimize your liability in environmental compliance situations, you must keep abreast of the myriad of laws, rules, and regulations, along with the inevitable revisions and interpretations.

WTS offers a systematic and objective evaluation of our client's compliance with all applicable regulations, as well as with corporate environmental-policy goals through the use of our Generator Compliance Audit Program.

WTS also responds to the Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S), and risk management concerns of our clients by providing Supplier Compliance Audits. The purpose of these audits is to determine the level of regulatory compliance of a TSDF and environmental risk associated with the use of a specific TSDF. EH&S environmental audits evaluate the status of a facility considering requirements such as regulatory compliance, quality control and management, personnel training and present environmental management practices. The audits specifically consider all aspects of the waste management hierarchy and provide insight into the day-to-day environmental operation of a TSDF. Also included is a review of the TSDF's systems and programs, process trouble shooting and modifications, recycling schemes, and the design of their pollution control systems.

WTS offers a systematic, documented, periodic, and objective review of a facility's operations and practices related to meeting the myriad of environmental laws and regulations. To this end WTS has developed a comprehensive auditing procedure which is outlined as follows:

  • Phone audit-discussion with the appropriate regulatory agencies ( State, Federal EPA, local) in regards to the facility's compliance with various relevant environmental statutes
  • Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. This would include a file review and/or copies of documents in that facility's file pertaining to their environmental compliance. This request is normally required when a phone audit does not produce sufficient information

FINAL COMPONENTS
